God alone is the one who grants believers with abilities and talents to steward. This reality can create envy within the Body when one individual is not as talented as someone else. If God knew that this would be a possible human response, why didn’t He make everyone the same?
We are living on the verge of the greatest revival in human history. However, there is a major enemy to this move of God; envy. We must understand what envy is and how to rid it from our lives if we are going to be a privileged part of preparing the way for the return of the Lord.
This final message from the Encounter:FREEDOM weekend series sums up the cry of this fatherless generation- ro know the love of a true father. Carroll Thompson shares our desire to be loved and our Heavenly Father’s desire to faithfully lavish us with His love- if we would only surrender our hearts to Him.
Guilt is the last of the five spiritual roots discussed that prevent us from taking on the “new man” in Christ. As Thompson explains in part 4 of this 5-part message, guilt that comes from the wounds of our past lead us to hide behind walls of shame, fear and darkness and prevent us from walking in true freedom and deliverance.
In part 3 of this 5-part message, Carroll Thompson discusses how depression, procastination, selfishness, unforgiveness and more are the fruit of a rebellious and bitter heart. These are two spiritual roots that lead to the creation of the “old man” that prevent us from taking up the “new man” that God has for us.
Carroll Thompson takes a look at two of the five spiritual roots that lead to the creation of the “old man”, our false-selves. In part 2 of this 5 part message, Thompson explores the characteristics associated with the roots of rejection and pride in our lives- including the struggle with fear of failure and hiding behind a life of success.
Carroll Thompson gets to the heart of the matter in this special 5-part message for the Encounter:FREEDOM weekend. Using the analogy of the wanderer, Thompson shares the enemy’s strategy of using pain to lead us from our true selves, isolate us from other people and ultimately keep us from the love of our Heavenly Father.
